Recycling Lives, the social business behind Furniture Donation Network, holds a Queen’s Award in Enterprise for Sustainable Development – the organisation was one of only ten in the country to receive the award that year.
As a Community Dotcom scheme, Furniture Donation Network exemplifies the commitment Recycling Lives has made to supporting charity and developing a fully sustainable business model. With 100% of our revenue going to sustaining charity, we’re pleased to support both local charities and the Recycling Lives social welfare charity which helps a wide variety of people facing difficult circumstances.
In addition to helping homeless people, the Recycling Lives social welfare charity helps ex-armed forces personnel, ex-offenders, people dealing with disabilities and those facing unemployment. Furniture Donation Network helps to sustain the charity and supports Residents directly by enabling them to gain work experience and undertake work placements.
